4 Decades of Experience.

1974.

Bruce Shaw is born. Peter Bruce and Roy Shaw form ‘Bruce Shaw Partnership’, operating from 51 Camden Street, Belfast. Peter and Roy’s first clients include the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Belmont Bowling Club and Nobles Hospital.

1974

1976.

Bruce Shaw’s relationship starts with Queens’ University Belfast and continues to this day.

Major projects for the year include: Belfast Airport Redevelopment and Queens’ University Theatre Building.

1980.

John McIlwaine joins Bruce Shaw and continues to work with the company to this day.

Major projects for the next several years include Belfast Airport Redevelopment, Shorts Ltd Factory Extension and the Massereene Hospital.

1985.

Bruce Shaw appointed by Marks & Spencer for the first out of town store at Sprucefield.

1985

1986.

Bruce Shaw appointed for the first shopping centre project in Belfast City Centre, Castlecourt.

1987.

Bruce Shaw involved in Falklands Islands’ Stanley Airport restoration post Falklands War.

1987

1995.

Bruce Shaw manage the Hilton Group Hotel at Lanyon Place, Belfast and BT Tower.

1995

1996.

Harbour Commissioners relationship with Bruce Shaw begins.

1996

2002.

Bruce Shaw involved with major remediation and reclaimed land at D5 Harbour Estate.

2002

2005.

The Titanic Quarter relationship is born. Gateway Offices and Phase 1 are first projects.

2005

2010.

The Obel Tower, Ireland’s tallest building, is completed. Bruce Shaw provides cost management and project management services.

2010

2012.

Bruce Shaw a part of the redevelopment and refurbishment of an existing industrial unit to create a Tier 3, modular data centre – Data Centre Birmingham.

2012

2016.

State of the art Northwest Cancer Centre at Altnagelvin Hospital is opened managed by Bruce Shaw.

2016

2018.

Bruce Shaw awarded cost and project management services for £500 million pound Tribeca Belfast transformation, a project proclaimed “to push Belfast to the forefront of European cities”.

2020.
