The construction of new church halls, replacing an existing worship facility. The new modern church building has 8,837 sq ft over 3 levels. The design brief stressed that the building’s primary purpose is ‘as a place of worship’ and the new premises offer a contemporay design, with flexible and adaptable space. The buildings massing sits aligned with the leaves level of the red–brick terraced housing to the rear and side. The project was competively tendered using the JCT 2016 Standard Building Contract and was shortlisted for the RICS Awards 2019.
